Quantum state engineering in warm atomic ensemble
Quantum state engineering involves the preparation, manipulation, and measurement of quantum states. A thorough understanding of quantum states and the operations acting upon them is essential for the development of quantum technologies. In this context, quantum state tomography and quantum process tomography are indispensable tools for characterizing quantum systems, as they enable the reconstruction of quantum states and the identification of the processes acting on them. Also, to have complete control over quantum state, nonlinear interactions are vital.
In this seminar, I will present methods for implementing quantum state and process tomography based on Faraday rotation measurements in room-temperature atomic ensembles. Furthermore, I will discuss the experimental techniques employed to achieve precise control over quantum states, highlighting their applications in quantum information processing and quantum metrology.
