Hot bands and isotopologue structure of the b30u+(43P1) ← X0g+ transition in Zn2 molecule
The b30u+(43P1) ← X0g+ transition in Zn2 molecule was previously investigated [1] but due to spectral width of the exciting laser beam only vibrational structure was possible to obtain. Recently we repeated this experiment using spectrally narrower dye laser and supersonic molecular beam (Ar as carrier gas). As a result, details of the isotopologue structure of transitions to higher vibrational states were possible to reveal. Moreover, occurrence of bands from ν”> 0 states (‘hot’ bands) indicates high vibrational temperature of the molecules in supersonic beam.
