Nanodiamond architectures for fluorescence-based sensors

My presentation will be focused on architectures that combine nitrogen-vacancy centres in diamond with other materials and physical systems to enhance the nitrogen-vacancy centre’s capabilities in fluorescence-based sensing. Especial attention will be given to nanodiamonds (ND’s) in polymer matrices, ND’s in solutions and sensing approaches based on combining ND’s with large numerical aperture, high-resolution optical fiber bundles. I will also present effects of surface chemistry on the fluorescence of nanodiamonds.
