In general, pulses in NMR are used to perturb equilibrium state of polarized spin system and thus introduce coherences that generate a measured signal. However, possibility to directly manipulate spins can be expanded by use of pulse sequences and multiple pulse coils in manner that allows for advanced techniques for signal enhancement, spin decoupling and multidimensional spectroscopy. Presentation will discuss theoretical principles of advanced pulse sequences and offer ideas for cost-friendly implementation.
