Optical properties and development of flat-surface nano-structured gradient index micro-optical vortex phase components
The presentation focuses on developments of flat-surface nano-structured gradient index micro-optical vortex phase masks (nVPMs) and fiber-based vortex converter microprobeusing nanostructurization technique. The component introduces the azimuthal variation of the refractive index distribution which imposes the azimuthal phase shift on wavefronts of the incident beam. In this way, the microscopic optical vortex beams with various topological charge values can be generated in air and liquid media by using the same nVPM components. In addition, its development, the fiber-based vortex converter microprobe, allows the efficient conversion of the Gaussian beam into the vortex beam with controllable focusing properties.
