Quantum Metrology - a biased theorist perspective

If we are allowed to use everything quantum mechanics can offer us, what are the fundamental limits to precision of measuring basic physical quantities using light and atoms?  What happens, if we take into account unavoidable presence of decoherence? Does "quantum advantage" play any role in real-life quantum metrology?
