AbstraktSeminarium:
In this seminar, I will introduce a single-particle framework to probe the time-resolved optical response of graphene nanoflakes. The framework combines a tight-binding methodology accounting for the electronic properties of 2D material structures, with the master equation that captures the electronic dynamics upon external illumination. Our approach offers insights into the interplay of electronic and optical phenomena within the investigated structures. I will discuss selected findings on the nature of optical resonances sustained by the nanoflakes and the modified response of the flakes hybridized with atomic defects.
