Our research featured at the cover of the newest Nature Astronomy
The results of the research co-authored by Szymon Pustelny has been featured at a cover of the newest (February) issue of Nature Astronomy. The article entitled "Quantum sensor networks for exotic astrophysics" describes conceptual work on the possibility of using a global network of quantum sensors (optical clocks or atomic magnetometers) to measure exotic fields that can be generated in catastrophic astrophysical phenomena (collisions of black holes or neutron stars) . The research described in the article may constitute a new information channel in the dynamically developing technique of multi-messenger astronomy. Thanks to application of the networks, the existing information channels may be reinforced with information unavailable to date.
