The light wave may have angular momentum related to polarization as well as to a specific azimuthal phase structure. In this seminar, I will show the basic properties of the beam with orbital angular momentum (OAM) and give methods of its production along with examples of applications. In the final part I will also briefly refer to the issues related to single photons having OAM.
