Observing the activity of the brain is a fundamental issue for neuroscience. Among several brain imaging methods only electroencephalography (EEG) and magnetoencephalography (MEG) provide a direct measure of cortical activity with high temporal resolution. The latter method, however, is better suited for inferring on the underlying neural sources. In the presentation I will demonstrate the way the MEG recording can be used to reconstruct cortical activity and enable estimation of the causal relationships between cortical areas. An exemplary experimental paradigm with an attentional task will be used to illustrate the entire analysis pipeline.

The seminar will be held in the hybrid form. To participate in the webinar, please, contact prof. Szymon Pustelny (szymon.pustelny@uj.edu.pl) MS Teams Channel: Zakład Fotoniki IF UJ.
