Nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in diamonds have emerged as powerful quantum sensors for magnetic field imaging. Traditional NV magnetometry methods rely on microwave-driven electron spin resonance. However, microwave-free techniques are gaining traction, particularly for applications where microwaves may interfere with biological systems or conductive samples.

In this seminar, I will present the development of a wide-field, microwave-free magnetometer utilizing NV centers in nanodiamonds, leveraging the zero-field cross-relaxation feature under ambient conditions. I will also discuss the application of this technique to study the magnetic properties of high-temperature superconductors (high-Tc), specifically Yttrium Barium Copper Oxide (YBCO) thin films coated with nanodiamonds.
